REPERTORY MENTOR WORKSHOP
This camp is specifically for those students who want to join the Repertory Program or be in our main-stage productions. Students will get to experience what it's like in our repertory theatre company. In this intensive one week camp actors will learn and perform a scripted play. Every student will be put in a group and led by a current Repertory Member as a mentor, as well as a mentor-in-training. Together, they will work on lines, scenes, projection and staging. The ensemble will perform the show at 7:00 PM on the Thursday evening. The Friday will be spent “striking” the set and celebrating with a cast party! At the conclusion of the session, each student will be given a detailed evaluation and will be eligible to audition for Main Stage productions*. This unique camp is perfect for beginning YPT non-Repertory actors and current or new students. It will give each participant the feeling of the deeply supportive community of YPT.
