2010 SUMMER THEATRE ACADEMY
PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP (ages 8-15)
This fun, challenging and intensive one or two-week workshop offers instruction in acting, improvisation, character development. Best of all, the students get to make up their own play to perform for family and friends! Students will see their ideas take shape as they follow the entire production process from idea, to script, to stage. Hurry - classes fill up quickly - sign up today! Sessions 1 & 4 include a movie!
All performances are at 4:00 pm on the day of the final class.
Session 1: June 21 – June 25, Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 3:30 pm Tuition $200
Session 2: July 12 – July 16, Monday – Friday 10:00 am –3:30 pm Tuition $200
Session 3: July 19 – July 23, Monday – Friday 10:00 am –3:30 pm Tuition $200
Session 4: July 26 – August 6, Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 3: 30 pm Tuition $450 includes a movie!
Session 5: August 9 – August 13, Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 3:30 pm Tuition $200
CREATIVE DRAMA (ages 5-8)
Young Performers Theatre offers this special class to children who are learning to love the magic of live theatre. Students act out classic and contemporary stories, as well as creating their own unique adventures. Major emphasis will be placed on pantomime, improvisation, character development and the fundamentals of story structure. Using fun improvisational techniques, students will create their own play to perform at the end of class. Tuition is $200.00
